An employee of mine used to program the software that was built into gambling machines in the UK and he would be under strict limitations to how often the machine could pay out.
A lot of people think that if they lurk around fruit machines enough, when they have enough money pumped into them they will pay out. This never happens. The machines are designed to pay out randomly and how full they are never comes into it.

The British kind and the American ones basically the same mate it just the game play that differs. There are two EPROM chips that control the machine one does the game play and the other is the RNG and bonus features. The answer by the way is no they’re designed to have a set hold %.
